Brand Strategy

Since astrology is used as an identifiable trait, Nova focuses on offering a personalized experience that allows users to learn more about astrology and the traits of their signs. 

Nova aims to educate its audience on the Metaphysical community at large and inspire deeper knowledge about the signs.

The dynamic brand system used is a combination of Customized and Assembly. This is executed by using the zodiac’s elements (fire, earth, air, and water) as categories of identification. 

The brand is flexible to incorporate the individuality of each sign, while still belonging to an overarching system. Since many Gen Z’ers use astrology as a way of introspection and contextualizing their feelings as something larger than themselves.

Social Media Strategy

Considering Nova’s brand strategy, it is relevant to root the brand’s values in community, culture, and self-discovery. These values influence the pillars of content used for social media. Traditional archetypes such as The Magician and The Citizen also influence how the brand is communicated.

Promotional content includes announcements, giveaways, and overall information regarding the festival’s events. Promotional content allows followers to engage in a community of people with similar interests, offers information on cultural practice and inspires them to do further self-discovery.

Educational content entails digestible lessons about astrology and topics alike. This includes information about Astrology, Tarot cards, crystals, metaphysical healing, etc. This gives followers the opportunity to introduce themselves to astrology and the metaphysical if they are unfamiliar with it.

Entertaining content is used to establish a relationship with the audience. This entails the brand having its take on memes and other relevant trends. Ideally, this would use knowledge of current events, topics, and culture to resonate with the audience on a more authentic level.
